How It Began
The conference began in 2021 as the Her Brave Women and Girls Conference.
Coach TeKenya K. Johnson created the experience from a desire to provide a safe and empowering space where women and girls could be seen, heard, encouraged, supported, and reminded of their strength and purpose.
What began as Her Brave continued to grow.
As the vision expanded, it became clear that healing and transformation could not be limited to one group.
Men have stories. Women have stories. Young people have stories. Couples, families, leaders, and communities carry stories too.
Every generation carries experiences, challenges, wisdom, purpose, and the ability to create meaningful change.
That understanding led to the evolution of the conference into:
HIS Brave • HER Brave • OUR Brave
Now in its fifth year, this expanded vision welcomes everyone into the conversation.
It creates room for different generations and perspectives to come together around the issues that affect our mental health, relationships, families, leadership, communities, and future.
